crore gods and goddesses. The word Koti means type, that is, there are

gods and goddesses is said to be 33 crores to confuse Hinduism. 33 categories
of deities are mentioned in the scriptures, not crores. Even as the
meaning of the identical word is different when the identical word is employed
in numerous places, the word Koti has two meanings in Devbhasha
Sanskrit.

crore. Because of this, the belief in 33 crore deities has become popular.
