ODISHA, India, Sambalpur is a district that
has a Unique rich cultural identity. The tunes, garments, moves, language, and
celebrations celebrated in Sambalpur are special. This particular social
personality emerges from the solid relationship of the ancestral and people
networks which have been existing together in Sambalpur for a considerable
length of time.
Sambalpuri is an Indo-Aryan language assortment spoken in
western Odisha, India. It is on the other hand known as Western Odia, and as
Kosali (with variations Kosli, Koshal and Koshali), an as of late advocated yet
questionable term, which draws on a relationship with the old Kosala, whose huge
domains likewise incorporated the present-day Sambalpur region.
Aside from this
the birth commemoration of Sambalpuri kavi Guru Satyanarayana Bohidar is likewise celebrated

Satya Narayan Bohidar
(1 August 1913 – 31 December 1980) was a
Sambalpuri essayist. He is Known as the pioneer of Sambalpuri language and
syntax. Bohidar was born at Sonepur. His developmental and imaginative years
were spent in Sambalpur and delivered a decent number of abstract
interpretations and life stories.
Battling despite seemingly insurmountable
opposition, Bohidar was fruitful in setting up the word reference and sentence
structure uncommonly in Sambalpuri Language which gave a noteworthy personality
to Sambalpuri society.
Satya Narayan Bohidar left an incredible heritage behind
him to impact the people in the future.
- Bohidar was an instructor in the Chandrasekhar Behera Zilla School and had composed numerous famous sonnets in Sambalpuri language.
- A portion of his book are Ṭikcaham̐ra1 version - first distributed in 1975.
- In 1977 1st Edition of Sambalapuri bhashara sabda-vibhaba or Saṃkshipta Sambalapuri vyakaraṇa o racana, first distributed.
Satyanarayana Bohidar, a prominent writer of Sambalpuri language, was welcomed
on his introduction to the world commemoration on the first 1st August to protect
the Sambalpuri language, craftsmanship, culture and convention of about 1.5
crore individuals of Western Odisha.
Sambalpur, Paschimanchala Akata Manch Oganisation has
chosen to watch the birth commemoration of artist Satyanarayan Bohidar as
'Sambalpuri Day' on (August1).The well-known people of Western Odisha were
likewise respected at the Sambalpuri Day program sorted out by Paschimanchal
Ekta Manch between the recently built Nelson Mandela Chowk and Jail Chowk.
Bohidar is viewed as one of the prominent Sambalpuri journalists, who assumed an
instrumental job in giving a critical personality to Sambalpuri language. Initially it was being celebrated at root level,but in 2017-18 Paschimanchala Akata Manch converted it into festival.
The
speciality of the Sambalpuri Din august 1 is that All the people of western Odisha
together celebrated at one place share their Love and brotherhood. The
celebration ground is decorated with flowers and many food stalls, where people
get lot of Pita and Delicious sambalpuri food. People commend this dining
experience, by singing routine and cheer in parting with on this day, the
member seen in bright sambalpuri clothing.
Combinedly we can say that 1st August
is not only the day to celebrate the Late Bohidar’s Birthday, but it is also the day of
unity, Prosperity, and one Step more towards the enlistment and developing the
art and culture of sambalpur. Now a days at every part of country and aboard countries also celebrating Sambalpuri Divas. It should be celebrated & continued every year for the tribute of the great soul of late Bohidar and for the soul of Brotherliness, Preservation of Sambalpuri Art, Culture, and Heritage, and it should be forwarded to upcoming generation and spread everywhere So that it can reach every corner of the world.
